English: The Crimean War (1853-1856) was fought between Imperial Russia and an alliance of the Great Britain and Ireland, the Second French Empire, the Kingdom of Sardinia, and the Ottoman Empire. The majority of the conflict took place on the Crimean peninsula in the Black Sea, with military conflicts also occurring in western Turkey, the Baltic Sea region and in the Pacific Ocean.
