Русский: Эта религиозная книга на итальянском языке ("языке Тосканы") была издана в 1495 г. Пьеро Пачини да Пеша (работал около 1495–1514 гг.) и считается самой выдающейся флорентийской иллюстрированной книгой XV века. Книга содержит 144 большие ксилографии (все они, за исключением восьми, соответствуют оригиналу данного текста), 24 небольших изображения святых и пророков, а также серию из 14 различных стилей рамок. Множество изображений, а также качество творческого замысла и исполнения делают эту работу подлинным сокровищем флорентийского искусства и одним из важнейших источников для изучения ксилографии эпохи Возрождения. Титульный лист представляет собой один из наиболее впечатляющих образцов книжного оформления этого периода и отражает влияние флорентийской живописи на ксилографическую композицию. Il comporte 144 grandes gravures sur bois, toutes inédites sauf huit, 24 petites images de saints et de prophètes, et une série de 14 styles différents de bordure. Le grand nombre d'images, et la qualité des dessins et de leur exécution, font de cet ouvrage un trésor de la conception florentine et indéniablement une source majeure pour l'étude de la gravure sur bois de la Renaissance. La feuille de titre, une des plus saisissantes de la période, reflète l'influence de la peinture florentine sur la composition des gravures sur bois. Cette influence est également visible dans les grandes gravures sur bois, inspirées des styles des artistes Donatello, Sandro Botticelli et Domenico Ghirlandaio. Outre le format de la composition, les gravures sur bois représentent de façon éloquente la forme humaine en mouvement et parviennent presque toujours à concentrer l'attention du lecteur sur l'action dramatique du récit de l'évangile. Le volume présenté ici, une des deux copies connues du livre, provient de la collection Rosenwald à la Bibliothèque du Congrès.

It contains 144 large woodcuts, all but eight original to this text, 24 small images of saints and prophets, and a series of 14 different border styles. The large number of images, along with the quality of the designs and execution, make this work a treasure of Florentine design and one of the truly important sources for the study of the Renaissance woodcut. The title leaf is one of the most striking of the period and reflects the influence of Florentine painting on woodcut composition. This influence is also visible in the large woodcuts, where the styles of the artists Donatello, Alessandro Botticelli, and Domenico Ghirlandaio can be identified. In addition to compositional format, the woodcuts exhibit convincing representations of the human form in motion and nearly always succeed in focusing the attention of the viewer on the dramatic action of the Gospel story. This volume is one of two known copies of the book. This copy is from the Rosenwald Collection of the Library of Congress.

O grande número de imagens, bem como a qualidade dos desenhos e da execução, fazem desta obra um tesouro do desenho florentino e uma fonte realmente importante para o estudo da xilogravura renascentista. Esta folha de rosto é uma das mais impressionantes do período e reflete a influência da pintura florentina sobre a composição em xilogravura. Esta influência também é visível nas xilogravuras grandes, onde os estilos dos artistas Donatello, Alessandro Botticelli e Domenico Ghirlandaio podem ser identificados. Contiene 144 xilografías de gran tamaño, todas originales del texto, salvo ocho, e incluye 24 imágenes pequeñas de santos y profetas y 14 estilos de bordes diferentes. La gran cantidad de imágenes, junto con la calidad y la ejecución de los diseños, convierten a esta obra en un tesoro del diseño florentino y en una de las fuentes verdaderamente importantes para el estudio de la xilografía renacentista. La carátula es una de las más magníficas de la época y refleja la influencia de la pintura florentina en la técnica de la xilografía. Esta influencia también se ve en las xilografías más grandes, en las que se puede identificar el estilo de los artistas Donatello, Alessandro Botticelli y Domenico Ghirlandaio. Además de la presentación de la composición, las xilografías exhiben representaciones convincentes de la forma humana en movimiento y casi siempre logran dirigir la atención del espectador hacia la acción dramática de la historia del Evangelio.
