Description
Español: Beatriz Morales Nin es Licenciada (1978) y Doctora (1984) en Biología por la Universidad de Barcelona. Posteriormente (1988-1989) estuvo un año y medio en la Universidad de Hawái con un contrato de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO). Sacó la plaza de Científica titular del Instituto de Ciencias del Mar de Barcelona en 1986, solicitando el traslado a Mallorca en 1989, momento en el cual empieza a trabajar en el IMEDEA, aunque los 10 primeros años, siendo personal del IMEDEA, trabajaba en el Centro Oceanográfico de Baleares del Instituto Español de Oceanografía (COB-IEO) mediante un convenio, al no disponer el IMEDEA aún de un edificio hasta el año 2000 que se hizo la sede en Esporles. El año 2017 estuvo de estancia en la Universidad de Bergen, Noruega. Fue directora del IMEDEA durante 8 años (2008-2016) y actualmente es Profesora de Investigación del CSIC en el IMEDEA.
