Description

English: The tomb of the French writer Marcel Proust (1871-1922), his brother and his parents. The tombstone of black marble engraved with a cross and the inscription in gold letters indicating the people who are buried there. The original tomb featured a medallion and a bas-relief in bronze by Marie Nordlinger.

Français : Sépulture du romancier, critique et essayiste Marcel Proust (1871-1922) ; son frère Robert Proust (1873-1935), chirurgien ; son père Adrien Proust (1834-1903), médecin, professeur à la chaire d'hygiène à la faculté de médecine de Paris ; sa mère Jeanne Weil Proust (1849-1905). Dalle funéraire en marbre noir comportant une croix pattée et les inscriptions en lettres dorées des personnes qui y sont inhumées. La tombe initiale comportait un médaillon d'Adrien Proust et un bas-relief en bronze par Nordlinger.
