Description This was a pretty cool and ultimately low-effort project. If you are interested in trying it, there is an event down in Olympia on Sept 28 - a tour of Provisions Mushroom Farm and you'll get a take-home kit. Or call John Donahue at Northwest Mycological Associates, home of the world's most restrained website. www.nwmycol.com/ He is SUPER helpful and patient. You can buy a bag of 7 lbs of spawn for $20. There might be some lead time needed if they don't have it on hand. I am hoping to have a mushroom cultivation party later in October: get together with some friends, split up the bag of spawn and make our kits while enjoying some beers or whatnot.
